COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
SINGING OF CHRISTMAS CAROLS
Saturday, November 28th, 7pm at the wedge located at St. Louis, Gallatin and West Lakeshore. Dress for the occasion, bring an ornament to place on the tree and enjoy a fine evening with your neighbors and friends singing Christmas Carols.
WOODEN CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATING
Sunday, November 29th, 1pm, City Hall. Come and decorate a lovely little wooden Christmas Tree to adorn our City's Parkway. Bring garland, ornaments, tinsel, paints, glue guns and decorating ideas and join your neighbors from the community in creating some Christmas Cheer!
TURKEY SHOOT
Saturday, December 5th, 10am at 951 North Lakeshore Dr., presented by C.I.T.Y., City Improvements Thru You a Non-Profit Organization. There will be Meat Shoots, a Raffle for an American Ruger 308 Rifle, 50/50 Pot Shots, More Raffles and delicious Food. Proceeds will go into a fund to build a Fire Department Sub-Station for the citizens of Iron Mountain Lake and surrounding area.
AND bring and donate a new stuffed or plush toy during the Shoot and recieve one free Shot. The stuffed toys will go towards making the IML Children's Christmas a bit brighter during the Annual Children's Christmas Party hosted by the IML Parks Department.
CHARLIE BROWN CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY
December 19th, 6 - 8pm, City Hall. All IML children welcome for a fun evening with Santa Claus and a Charlie Brown Christmas Party! Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Charlie Brown character. There will be fun surprises, goodies and treats!

Wednesday, September 23, 2015 – IML News – Mark your calendars… There will be a grand Halloween Party given and ALL the children of Iron Mountain Lake are invited.
The 4 th ANNUAL WITCH HAZEL’S SPOOKTACULAR is to be held on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2015 (Rain Date – Saturday, October 24, 2015) from 7pm - 9pm at 1127 Brown Mountain Rd. (Located on the Eastside of IML, at the corner of Brown Mountain Rd. and Eldon), Iron Mountain Lake, MO. The event is FREE for the children and residents of Iron Mountain Lake.
The SPOOKTACULAR will be filled with lots of fun, surprises, games, prizes, snacks and maybe a few TRICKS for treats (While supplies last.). There will also be a spooky hayride and costume contest. The event is being sponsored by IronMountainLakeNews.com and the help of the Iron Mountain Lake Parks Department, the IML Community Board and our other wonderful local sponsors and contributors. The event has been organized by volunteers and provided for by generous donations. If you would like to donate spooky items, prizes, snacks or baked goods for this event. We are also looking for volunteers, to act as scary creatures or zombies (by the way, this is REALLY FUN!). For your information, adult supervision of your children is required for this event. There will be NO parking on the event grounds. There will be street side parking and you may also park at City Hall or the Jetty on the eastside of the Lake. The hay wagon ride will be making rounds and will be picking up and dropping off from these locations all evening from 7pm till 9pm.
This should be an exciting and memorable event for the IML kiddies. We are looking forward to seeing you there…..

SECOND ANNUAL “THE DAM FESTIVAL”
SATURDAY, September 12 TH, 9am TILL DUSK
The photo on the flyer is from May 1969 at Iron Mountain Lake, but the Dam’s construction began in 1847. It is believed to be the oldest man made earthen Dam in Missouri, maybe even the oldest this side of the Mississippi. The development of the area pre-dates that period with the iron ore mining operation that began in 1836.
We would like to celebrate our history with the very first Iron Mountain Lake “Dam Festival” on Saturday, September 21 th, 2015, beginning at 8am with vendors setting up (Vendors still can apply and Historical Re-enactors are welcome) and the activities to begin at 9am.
Staging of the Parade will begin at the jetty on the East side of the Lake at 8:30am. People participating in the Parade are being asked to keep in mind that this is a Historical Event, so period ideas for floats and clothing would be a grand idea!
There will also be a Chili Cook-Off Competition, judging to begin at approximately 10:00am. Bring a big pot of your best chili and prove to everyone in the area that YOU make the best Chili in the County!!! (Pre-applying is encouraged and applications can be obtained at IML City Hall or through the mail by contacting Pam at 573-734-6969). More details to be provided soon!
This is a family event and everyone is welcome!!! There will be food (Chili every which way), homemade goodies and crafts, games, activities, amusements (pony rides, dunking booth weather permitting), 50/50s, raffles, a silent auction, music, contests (horseshoes), vendors, historical information about IML and the area…. Lots of FUN for EVERYONE!!!!
Bring your lawn chairs, folding tables and blankets and enjoy the day with us at beautiful Iron Mountain Lake!!!

RAKE THE LAKE
SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2015, 8AM TILL 7PM
This will be the second annual Rake The Lake festivities at Iron Mountain Lake to be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2015 from 8am till 7pm.
The day will begin 8am with the Raking the Lake. This will be a process of clearing away the weeds, debris, trash and aquatic plants from around and in the lake starting the swim area. You are being invited to come and volunteer your time and/or your equipment to help with this process. Garden rakes, sturdy leaf rakes, ropes, old tyme bed springs and john boats are what's needed. The old bed springs and john boats really seemed to do a great job of in pulling in the weeds from within the Lake, while those with rakes did the shoreline and piled the weeds at the Lake's edge. It was work, granted, but everyone seemed to be having a great time doing this last year. And when it was completed there was such a grand improvement. So there is hopes to have an even larger crowd helping this year. The more help, the better, and the more fun that to be had by all.
Also included with the festivities will be a food booth serving up delicious Pulled Pork Sandwiches with all the fixings, at reasonable prices, beginning at 11am. During the lunchtime period Mayor Dustin Steinc and Shaun Kunz intend to serenade all in attendance with song and guitar. During the afternoon some fun games and activites will be provided for the children. At 1pm The Dreamcatchers will entertain the crowd with LIVE music till approxmately 5pm. At 5pm the winner of the Community Pavilion Raffle for the Cardinal Baseball Tickets will be announced, and this will be followed by a Trivia Contest. Entries for the Trivia Contest will be $5.00 per person, and teams may be formed with up to 10 people per team. Bring your own lawnchairs, and portable tables if you like. Plan to spend the entire day!
Donations are also being requested for desserts, hamburger buns, chips and prizes for the children. And cash donations will always be gratefully accepted. Proceeds from this event will go towards Lake improvements. For more information contact Lanette at 573-734-2042.

>COMMUNITY PAVILION RAFFLE
CARDINALS BASEBALL TICKETS
There is a Iron Mountain Lake citizen's movement to raise funds for a Community Pavilion to be built in the Park at the Lake. Heading the committee is Alderman Roger Stodgell of Ward 2 and newly elected Alderwomen Sharon Williams of Ward 3. As one of their fundraising activities there will be a set of four (4) tickets raffled to a Cardinals home game on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015 at 7:15pm against the Milwaukee Brewers. Tickets prices for the raffle are $5.00 each or a book of six (6) for $25.00. Tickets can be purchased at City Hall during regular business hours. The winner will be randomly selected and announced at 5pm during the Rake The Lake festivities on Saturday, May 30th, 2015. The community of Iron Mountain Lake has a contested one-year term (unexpired) for mayor, as well as contested races for Ward I and Ward 2 aldermen — both two-year terms. The mayoral candidates are Dustin Steinc and Milton Gene Bartley. Ward I candidates are incumbent Robert E. Lincoln and Mark Wynes. Ward 2 candidates are incumbent Roger D. Stodgell and Roberta (Bobbie) Wiles.

A HUGE SUCCESS!
Here are a few photos of the Edward's 11th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Iron Mountain Lake.
With the nearly perfect weather there was a grand turnout for the hunt this year!! Everyone had a glorious time . Lots of eggs, lots of prizes. As usual Dan and Anita Edwards did a most generous job of making the Easter Holiday here at IML a fabulous one for all the children!

>MARCH 16, 2015 BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEETING
The highlight of the meeting of the Board of Aldermen was an introduction and vote on what is now Ordinance 94.
The Bill, now Ordinance 94, introduced what will be pay for the Mayor, Board President and Aldermen. Bill Number 15-05 was read before a full house in attendance of the meeting on Monday, March 16, 2015. The Bill makes provisions for the payment amounts as follows per month: Mayor - $250.00, Board President - $150.00, Aldermen - $100.00. The Bill was read twice and a motion and a second was then recorded.
The Mayor Pro Tem Dustin Steinc then opened the floor for discussion. Several people held objections to the Bill, as well as several made statements in favor of the payments to the Board. Emotions regarding the matter appeared to be generally mixed. The Mayor answered questions, and he also stated that the budget was already set for the year and allowed for the payments. There were also statements made from those in attendance regarding the condition of the roads and budgeting. The Mayor assured the public that the road budget had been set, the maintenance workers are currently working on the roads and that the Board was going to be looking into other ideas to correct the ongoing yearly issues.
With no other statements or questions being asked by the public, the Mayor called for a vote from the Aldermen. The vote went as follows: Aldermen Roger Stodgell of Ward 2 – YES, Alderman Josh Skaggs of Ward 1 – YES, Alderman Dustin Steinc of Ward 3 – YES, Alderman Bob Lincoln of Ward 1 – YES, Alderwomen Rita Gebhardt of Ward 2 – NO. There were four votes in favor of Bill Number 15-05/Ordinance 94 and one was opposed. The Bill passed with a majority. It should be noted that per law that the payments will not go into effect until after the April 7 election.
Another item on the agenda was the discussion and vote to repair the Dodge Pickup that will be used as a utility vehicle for the Maintenance Department and the Parks Department. A budget of $500.00 was unanimously voted for to make the needed repairs.

>A MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR
UNDERSTANDING ORDINANCE 94
The Missouri State Statutes do not allow a Board of Aldermen to vote for a pay increase while they are in office. This ORDINANCE does not go into effect until the NEXT election.
The Board of Aldermen voted Ordinance 94 into effect on March 16, 2015 in an effort to GIVE THE NEW BOARD an option for payment of their officials. The City of Iron Mountain Lake included pay for the Aldermen and Mayor in their beginning constitution. When the city endured financial hardship the pay was suspended, though no legal action or vote was taken to repeal it. When the City Ordinances were codified last summer it was discovered that four ordinances were missing. Several Aldermen, our former attorney and previous mayors attest to the fact that the Board and Mayor were paid positions. Our City Constitution suggests payment of the Board with such statements as, “In the event an alderman is impeached his pay shall cease”. However, the original document could not be located. The Attorney General’s office was contacted and they advised the Board of Aldermen to draft a new ordinance dealing with payment of the board. Though not required, because we could not find the original document, further payments were immediately suspended.
The Board does not currently get paid. The passing of this new ordinance was to give the NEW BOARD an OPTION to do so. The NEW BOARD can decide if they want to utilize, amend or repeal this ordinance. The pay was set at what the budget could comfortably afford. If this had not been voted on and put into effect PRE-ELECTION this would not be an option for the NEW BOARD.
I want to do what is best for our city. I truly appreciate the Board of Aldermen and understand that they sacrifice a lot of time and personal finances in their positions. I would like to see the Board paid BUT if the citizens strongly oppose this – then by all means we want to hear your opinions and input. A Straw Poll has been set up on IML STRAW POLL on Facebook for you to give your anonymous opinion. Hard copies are available in City Hall. I want to reiterate- that the board is NOT currently getting paid and the amounts listed in Ordinance 94 are the “optimum amounts” knowing that by Missouri State Statutes – we cannot vote an increase while in office. The amounts can go down. The entire ordinance can be repealed. However, this is up to the citizens. We want to hear your input. Ordinance 94 approves payment of $100 per month per Alderman, $150 per month for Board President and $250 per month for Mayor.
“I rely on my Board to be hands-on and I have personally seen the sacrifice and commitment in hours they serve this community. I set the monthly amounts based on what the budget could afford – not on their worth. I feel they are worth a lot more than we can pay.” Please – let me hear your opinion. We are here to SERVE the people.

>SEWER BILL RATES TO RISE
IML News - February 24, 2015 - After much consideration and exhaustive research and studies it had come to the attention of the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen of Iron Mountain Lake that the unavoidable had finally come. Due to inflation, continued proactive maintenance and the, soon to be, added expense of operating the new UV Disinfection Equipment that was imposed on our City by the EPA and the Department of Natural Resources, sewer bill rates had to be raised to insure that a quality sewer system continues to be maintained and operational.
After a thorough study of current operating costs, payroll, continued education to insure quality maintenance of the system and the projection of future operating costs and current inflation it was determined, after a Public Hearing that was held on January 12, 2015 and a unanimous vote by the Board of Aldermen held on February 9, 2015 at a regular City Council Meeting, that the minimum amount that would be charged to insure the operation of a quality sewer system must be $30.00 per residence, which will be reflected on your March 2015 sewer bill. The City realizes that this new rate increase is a bit imposing, but it was totally unavoidable and necessary, for it is required by law to have a fully operational system for the health and safety of the residents and it must run effectively at all times by whatever means or monetary amount that needs to be imposed.
The Mayor and City Council want you to know that every effort is being made to keep costs down. And as a special note, they want to ensure you that everything necessary is being done to safeguard that there is equality for all and that everyone is paying their fair share. Audits have been made, and will continue to be done, to ensure that all residents are receiving a bill and that the collections of past due bills are made in an orderly and timely fashion. They are also pleased to report that through the efforts of our City Clerk, Lanette Kunz, and shutoffs being imposed fairly but promptly, collection rates are at an all time high, with only a small minimum percentage of delinquent bills being reported monthly. This effort alone contributed greatly to sewer rates not having to be raised dramatically.
If you have any questions you are being encouraged to attend the next regular City Council which will be held on March 9, 2015 at 7pm at City Hall and direct them to Mayor Pro-Tem Dustin Steinc and your Board of Aldermen during “Public Comments”.

" KMOV.com) – A St. Francois County woman said she was beaten by thieves after walking in on them as they stood in her dining room.
Diana Hedgecock said the encounter with thieves at her home near Iron Mountain Lake left her battered and bruised.
“He looked so scared just like I was, I’m sure. It was the reaction when he grabbed the back of the back of my hair and slammed my face into the wall,” Hedgecock said. “They outnumber me. They’ve already banged my head. I felt the blood in my left eye so I knew it was either going to me or them.”
As the suspects attempted to flee, Hedgecock was able to grab a gun. She fired three times as they ran into nearby woods.
“I could have shot them. They could have been dead lying dead on my kitchen floor,” Hedgecock said.
Iron Mountain Lake Police are still searching for the suspects."

Additional information on the suspects is, according to the victim, that one has long shoulder length brown greasy hair, slender and has marks on his face. The other one had a buzz cut and is of average build.

SECOND ANNUAL “THE DAM FESTIVAL”
SATURDAY, September 12 TH, 9am TILL DUSK
The photo on the flyer is from May 1969 at Iron Mountain Lake, but the Dam’s construction began in 1847. It is believed to be the oldest man made earthen Dam in Missouri, maybe even the oldest this side of the Mississippi. The development of the area pre-dates that period with the iron ore mining operation that began in 1836.
We would like to celebrate our history with the very first Iron Mountain Lake “Dam Festival” on Saturday, September 21 th, 2015, beginning at 8am with vendors setting up (Vendors still can apply and Historical Re-enactors are welcome) and the activities to begin at 9am.
Staging of the Parade will begin at the jetty on the East side of the Lake at 8:30am. People participating in the Parade are being asked to keep in mind that this is a Historical Event, so period ideas for floats and clothing would be a grand idea!
There will also be a Chili Cook-Off Competition, judging to begin at approximately 10:00am. Bring a big pot of your best chili and prove to everyone in the area that YOU make the best Chili in the County!!! (Pre-applying is encouraged and applications can be obtained at IML City Hall or through the mail by contacting Pam at 573-734-6969). More details to be provided soon!
This is a family event and everyone is welcome!!! There will be food (Chili every which way), homemade goodies and crafts, games, activities, amusements (pony rides, dunking booth weather permitting), 50/50s, raffles, a silent auction, music, contests (horseshoes), vendors, historical information about IML and the area…. Lots of FUN for EVERYONE!!!!

RAKE THE LAKE
SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2015, 8AM TILL 7PM
This will be the second annual Rake The Lake festivities at Iron Mountain Lake to be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2015 from 8am till 7pm.
The day will begin 8am with the Raking the Lake. This will be a process of clearing away the weeds, debris, trash and aquatic plants from around and in the lake starting the swim area. You are being invited to come and volunteer your time and/or your equipment to help with this process. Garden rakes, sturdy leaf rakes, ropes, old tyme bed springs and john boats are what's needed. The old bed springs and john boats really seemed to do a great job of in pulling in the weeds from within the Lake, while those with rakes did the shoreline and piled the weeds at the Lake's edge. It was work, granted, but everyone seemed to be having a great time doing this last year. And when it was completed there was such a grand improvement. So there is hopes to have an even larger crowd helping this year. The more help, the better, and the more fun that to be had by all.
Also included with the festivities will be a food booth serving up delicious Pulled Pork Sandwiches with all the fixings, at reasonable prices, beginning at 11am. During the lunchtime period Mayor Dustin Steinc and Shaun Kunz intend to serenade all in attendance with song and guitar. During the afternoon some fun games and activites will be provided for the children. At 1pm The Dreamcatchers will entertain the crowd with LIVE music till approxmately 5pm. At 5pm the winner of the Community Pavilion Raffle for the Cardinal Baseball Tickets will be announced, and this will be followed by a Trivia Contest. Entries for the Trivia Contest will be $5.00 per person, and teams may be formed with up to 10 people per team. Bring your own lawnchairs, and portable tables if you like. Plan to spend the entire day!
Donations are also being requested for desserts, hamburger buns, chips and prizes for the children. And cash donations will always be gratefully accepted. Proceeds from this event will go towards Lake improvements. For more information contact Lanette at 573-734-2042.

CARDINALS BASEBALL TICKETS
There is a Iron Mountain Lake citizen's movement to raise funds for a Community Pavilion to be built in the Park at the Lake. Heading the committee is Alderman Roger Stodgell of Ward 2 and newly elected Alderwomen Sharon Williams of Ward 3. As one of their fundraising activities there will be a set of four (4) tickets raffled to a Cardinals home game on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015 at 7:15pm against the Milwaukee Brewers. Tickets prices for the raffle are $5.00 each or a book of six (6) for $25.00. Tickets can be purchased at City Hall during regular business hours. The winner will be randomly selected and announced at 5pm during the Rake The Lake festivities on Saturday, May 30th, 2015. With the nearly perfect weather there was a grand turnout for the hunt this year!! Everyone had a glorious time . Lots of eggs, lots of prizes. As usual Dan and Anita Edwards did a most generous job of making the Easter Holiday here at IML a fabulous one for all the children!

>MARCH 16, 2015 BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEETING
The highlight of the meeting of the Board of Aldermen was an introduction and vote on what is now Ordinance 94.
The Bill, now Ordinance 94, introduced what will be pay for the Mayor, Board President and Aldermen. Bill Number 15-05 was read before a full house in attendance of the meeting on Monday, March 16, 2015. The Bill makes provisions for the payment amounts as follows per month: Mayor - $250.00, Board President - $150.00, Aldermen - $100.00. The Bill was read twice and a motion and a second was then recorded.
The Mayor Pro Tem Dustin Steinc then opened the floor for discussion. Several people held objections to the Bill, as well as several made statements in favor of the payments to the Board. Emotions regarding the matter appeared to be generally mixed. The Mayor answered questions, and he also stated that the budget was already set for the year and allowed for the payments. There were also statements made from those in attendance regarding the condition of the roads and budgeting. The Mayor assured the public that the road budget had been set, the maintenance workers are currently working on the roads and that the Board was going to be looking into other ideas to correct the ongoing yearly issues.
With no other statements or questions being asked by the public, the Mayor called for a vote from the Aldermen. The vote went as follows: Aldermen Roger Stodgell of Ward 2 – YES, Alderman Josh Skaggs of Ward 1 – YES, Alderman Dustin Steinc of Ward 3 – YES, Alderman Bob Lincoln of Ward 1 – YES, Alderwomen Rita Gebhardt of Ward 2 – NO. There were four votes in favor of Bill Number 15-05/Ordinance 94 and one was opposed. The Bill passed with a majority. It should be noted that per law that the payments will not go into effect until after the April 7 election.
Another item on the agenda was the discussion and vote to repair the Dodge Pickup that will be used as a utility vehicle for the Maintenance Department and the Parks Department. A budget of $500.00 was unanimously voted for to make the needed repairs.

UNDERSTANDING ORDINANCE 94
The Missouri State Statutes do not allow a Board of Aldermen to vote for a pay increase while they are in office. This ORDINANCE does not go into effect until the NEXT election.
The Board of Aldermen voted Ordinance 94 into effect on March 16, 2015 in an effort to GIVE THE NEW BOARD an option for payment of their officials. The City of Iron Mountain Lake included pay for the Aldermen and Mayor in their beginning constitution. When the city endured financial hardship the pay was suspended, though no legal action or vote was taken to repeal it. When the City Ordinances were codified last summer it was discovered that four ordinances were missing. Several Aldermen, our former attorney and previous mayors attest to the fact that the Board and Mayor were paid positions. Our City Constitution suggests payment of the Board with such statements as, “In the event an alderman is impeached his pay shall cease”. However, the original document could not be located. The Attorney General’s office was contacted and they advised the Board of Aldermen to draft a new ordinance dealing with payment of the board. Though not required, because we could not find the original document, further payments were immediately suspended.
The Board does not currently get paid. The passing of this new ordinance was to give the NEW BOARD an OPTION to do so. The NEW BOARD can decide if they want to utilize, amend or repeal this ordinance. The pay was set at what the budget could comfortably afford. If this had not been voted on and put into effect PRE-ELECTION this would not be an option for the NEW BOARD.
I want to do what is best for our city. I truly appreciate the Board of Aldermen and understand that they sacrifice a lot of time and personal finances in their positions. I would like to see the Board paid BUT if the citizens strongly oppose this – then by all means we want to hear your opinions and input. A Straw Poll has been set up on IML STRAW POLL on Facebook for you to give your anonymous opinion. Hard copies are available in City Hall. I want to reiterate- that the board is NOT currently getting paid and the amounts listed in Ordinance 94 are the “optimum amounts” knowing that by Missouri State Statutes – we cannot vote an increase while in office. The amounts can go down. The entire ordinance can be repealed. However, this is up to the citizens. We want to hear your input. Ordinance 94 approves payment of $100 per month per Alderman, $150 per month for Board President and $250 per month for Mayor.
“I rely on my Board to be hands-on and I have personally seen the sacrifice and commitment in hours they serve this community. I set the monthly amounts based on what the budget could afford – not on their worth. I feel they are worth a lot more than we can pay.” Please – let me hear your opinion. We are here to SERVE the people.

IML News - February 24, 2015 - After much consideration and exhaustive research and studies it had come to the attention of the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen of Iron Mountain Lake that the unavoidable had finally come. Due to inflation, continued proactive maintenance and the, soon to be, added expense of operating the new UV Disinfection Equipment that was imposed on our City by the EPA and the Department of Natural Resources, sewer bill rates had to be raised to insure that a quality sewer system continues to be maintained and operational.
After a thorough study of current operating costs, payroll, continued education to insure quality maintenance of the system and the projection of future operating costs and current inflation it was determined, after a Public Hearing that was held on January 12, 2015 and a unanimous vote by the Board of Aldermen held on February 9, 2015 at a regular City Council Meeting, that the minimum amount that would be charged to insure the operation of a quality sewer system must be $30.00 per residence, which will be reflected on your March 2015 sewer bill. The City realizes that this new rate increase is a bit imposing, but it was totally unavoidable and necessary, for it is required by law to have a fully operational system for the health and safety of the residents and it must run effectively at all times by whatever means or monetary amount that needs to be imposed.
The Mayor and City Council want you to know that every effort is being made to keep costs down. And as a special note, they want to ensure you that everything necessary is being done to safeguard that there is equality for all and that everyone is paying their fair share. Audits have been made, and will continue to be done, to ensure that all residents are receiving a bill and that the collections of past due bills are made in an orderly and timely fashion. They are also pleased to report that through the efforts of our City Clerk, Lanette Kunz, and shutoffs being imposed fairly but promptly, collection rates are at an all time high, with only a small minimum percentage of delinquent bills being reported monthly. This effort alone contributed greatly to sewer rates not having to be raised dramatically.
If you have any questions you are being encouraged to attend the next regular City Council which will be held on March 9, 2015 at 7pm at City Hall and direct them to Mayor Pro-Tem Dustin Steinc and your Board of Aldermen during “Public Comments”.

" KMOV.com) – A St. Francois County woman said she was beaten by thieves after walking in on them as they stood in her dining room.
Diana Hedgecock said the encounter with thieves at her home near Iron Mountain Lake left her battered and bruised.
“He looked so scared just like I was, I’m sure. It was the reaction when he grabbed the back of the back of my hair and slammed my face into the wall,” Hedgecock said. “They outnumber me. They’ve already banged my head. I felt the blood in my left eye so I knew it was either going to me or them.”
As the suspects attempted to flee, Hedgecock was able to grab a gun. She fired three times as they ran into nearby woods.
“I could have shot them. They could have been dead lying dead on my kitchen floor,” Hedgecock said.
Iron Mountain Lake Police are still searching for the suspects."

Additional information on the suspects is, according to the victim, that one has long shoulder length brown greasy hair, slender and has marks on his face. The other one had a buzz cut and is of average build.
